Using Potions of Poison to Poison Weapons

I just recently discovered that you can poison weapons with poison potions. You do this by pressing 'use spell' over the potion, then selecting the weapon you want to poison. It's quite useful, and it's nice to know there actually is a use for poison. Did anyone else know about this? It's kinda hidden unless you randomly experiment, like I did.

Yeah, I imagined someone already found out about it, but I did a search for "poison" and none of the topics that came up seemed to cover it.

Really....interesting...
was wondering why the heck poisons exist if you couldnt throw potions in this game. Theyre uncommon enough to not want the perk either to be healed by them, least for me.
