2. do you want to know how to use them (are you asking?)
3. no you cannot sell to shops
WARNING!!! next post contains spoilers WARNING!!!
The Bloody gives you random stat for half of your current health or fairy (click up key to activate)
The Deranged take from you any item that you give him but his offerings are random
The Light gives you health for money
The Shackled changes your cursed items to much better god cursed items that you cant take off even with uncurse scrolls
Except in multiplayer. They can be removed by dying, and then reviving. It is really cheap to use this trick. IMO they should not be dropped when you die when equipped.
The Smith: Shoots you with about 8 arrows
The Bloody: Does 10 damage to players
The Deranged: Destroys a massive amount of terrain, possibly instantly killing the players
The Light: Gives you a loan. Will not heal until the loan is paid back (with interest)
The Shackled: Curses all gear: chests, shops, all players bags, items on floor.
I didn't really want to know what they did, although I don't mind. Had no idea HOW to use the damn things though.... needs to be some kind of key tooltip when you are on them or something.
I wish I had got to discover them myself, but there are no tips or info on HOW to use them... I thought you had to bash them down each time :C
I do that and nothing happens.
You must drop items DIRECTLY in front of them. You will know that the item is in range because it will be hovering above the ground, when compared with the default ground location.
Also Smith won't accept just anything. Basically Smith's requirement is: can you equip it? Arrows, Potions, Scrolls, Chicken, and Eyes won't be accepted.
Deranged will accept anything.
Now both require a certain "value" to be met before they will give anything in return. 1 Arrow is not enough to satisfy the Deranged. Also 1 piece of equipment is rarely enough for the Smith. Generally you want 3-4 items for Smith, and 1 equipment or 1-2 non-arrow items for Deranged.
The deranged is finally my favorite next to the altar of the bloody ! ^^
