Wiki Help
I can't believe I spent five days compiling data and a whole day making the pages. I even read the Wizardry instruction manual to get an idea of making the pages look good!
Okay, so for novices and pros of the game, there's not much info in guides or threads and the wiki is barely updated as is (the logo looks like it says "miki", shouldn't it be a giant V logo now?). The resolution was to make pages with all the information about the game from gameplay and forums and just plain experimenting a lot.
Here's the pages I've made so far:
Getting Started[vagante.gamepedia.com] + Classes[vagante.gamepedia.com] + Gear [vagante.gamepedia.com]
I didn't use the old adventurer/equipment pages because I did not want to mess up what people had going on in there before.
The specific parts I need help on are identifying all of Knight's affinities (I don't like playing Knight), prefixes/suffixes for missing item effects, and updating the spells page. I would work on zones/monsters pages but I have no idea how the devs named the monsters or what they call the gameplay areas, are they zones or something else?
The general part I need help for the wiki is clean up and verification/clarification because I'm just one person and I got really tired doing this.
Anyway, thanks for reading!

For Knight I would replace Holy 1 with Defense 1 in your strategy section. Holy 1 is nice for beginners, but gives a very marginal bonus to the cautious. Defense 1 might not be as good as it used to be, I haven't played since the HP bar got added, so I may have to play some more with knight. Before the update it was almost required to face the Abomination Boss, and really helped vs the Wisp Boss

For Mage, I would actually take INT 3, Spell 3, INT 5. This is because the mage doesn't have a defense ability. His only defense is to kill before being killed. I don't play mage much, but this is the build my Mage friend uses. We both consider Alchemy useless. He has been running a crazy Enchant build lately, but I don't remember what it had. Linking Enchants is broken.

For Rogue, yeah pretty close, but I would get Shadow 2 first, since the sleath/crit makes the forest about 90x easier.

For ??? I found that Animal 3 is OP, and is basically a requirement for Catacombs.

Thats just build advice, everything else looks great. If you want to get pictures of each class (like the other pages). You can move/delete your save file and SS the character select. When the game first starts, you have no backgrounds, so the class cards aren't covered up.

Holy cow, nice work!

The wiki has definitely not gotten as much attention as I would like it to, and I think partially that's due to the crappy layout/theme we have going on. I'm going to spend some time right now trying to get this to look better.

Thank you for the commendation and I like the new images you uploaded, very neato! I will probably work on the wiki some more (moving/adjusting pages and links) for a few days then wait until a new major update moves in before continuing progress.

Getting the cursed effects were a pain but they get really silly really fast.[i.imgur.com]

Switching Holy 1 to Defense 1 is reasonable. I found the HP pool to only be detrimental when you were attacked by a billion mobs, the shopkeeper takes a minute or two to break stance.

To be honest, I always ran Enchant 3 build on mage even if it was not efficient because I thought it was fun. Never really thought about adding stat affinities. Alchemy is pretty boned though, that's agreed!

I saw someone in the forum post Dagger 3 Shadow 3 rogue as a game winning run build. It's a natural tossup between the two. Archery needs a lot of work.

I will definitely argue against Animal 3 vs Animal 2 because while Animal 3 lets you avoid encounters, Animal 2 is better because 90% of the time you can crush anything with your feet[i.imgur.com] and that's why ??? is the best class

Also, thank you as well for the commendation! I can definitely put the no background class cards on the wiki page soon, thanks for that tip.

Um... doesn't Animal 2 come BEFORE Animal 3? You get them both...
I am saying to put a point in Animal 3 instead of Berserk, VIT, or STR.

I definately wouldn't want to try playing ??? without all 3 Animal abilities, Roar for reflecting projectiles, Stomp for winning, and Run for not dying to Abomination

PS: I have won (my definition of win: Reach Crypts (Catacombs+) 4, killing every boss on every level) with every class at this point, and these are the builds I used. Although spamming The Bloody, is always a HUGE part of the build.

It does but after Animal 2 I just get Berserk 5 or Luck 3 although I do not really use Bloody shrine that much so my success rate is obviously lower than how you're running things hahaha

Anyway, your builds are definitely more reliable than how I play, so I'll put those up. When online multiplayer kicks in, I will have to separate singleplayer and multiplayer builds because the latter will get more prevalent.
Sylux Oct 13, 2015 @ 5:26pm
By multiplayer builds you mean: range focused? Playing with 3-4 four players, I found it hard to have 4 melee players at the same time.
Choja Hiragawa Oct 13, 2015 @ 5:39pm
I guess so, but I've never played multiplayer and I've only seen the moophan stream play 4 player multiplayer on stream, everyone else is solo or just two players.

I finished second wiki rehaul. All data has been moved to relevant pages.

Adventurers:[vagante.gamepedia.com] Knight[vagante.gamepedia.com] / Rogue[vagante.gamepedia.com] / Mage[vagante.gamepedia.com] / ???[vagante.gamepedia.com]
Items:[vagante.gamepedia.com] Weapons[vagante.gamepedia.com] / Armor[vagante.gamepedia.com] / Spells[vagante.gamepedia.com]
Areas[vagante.gamepedia.com]

I did not finish areas or monsters because I don't have info for most of them. I also need default armor attributes and clean images for remaining items/spells and missing effects. I will delete Classes and Gear pages soon because the data is on pages linked above now. I'm tired and burnt out. May do more revisions like five or seven game versions down the line.

EDIT: Developers did not mention the ["The Developer of the game requested to call the Characters "Adventurers" instead of "Classes"] line on wiki when I made Classes page. You could have told me! Maybe!

Everyone refers to them as classes by now, so classes is probably more fitting.
Choja Hiragawa Oct 21, 2015 @ 10:34pm
That's true and you say so, so... I can delete the old classes page, move adventurers on top of it, and rollback the edit for the front page!

EDIT: Done! History for Adventurers has been left intact and has been moved to Classes.
