Ranger and clubs (The weakest weapon specific tree of them all)
Too many things don't count as clubs (Spearheaded baton, Hammers, Thundergod's hammer to name a few) and in general they are super underwhelming and the least common drop table weapon.

His charge up- Like all charge ups in a game where the meta is "hit fast and hard" is underwhelming.. His shockwave ability is useless due to it's inability to travel past uneven surfaces- and it's rare you get the opportunity to fight on a totally level field with no dips divots or pits in between.

The first rank benefit is decent- As a bit of stun helps. But after that it's sort of a diminishing return wash. Knight's sword tree, rogue's dagger tree (IE: The most condensed and useful of the weapon trees I will add.) and wildling's fist tree are all infinitely better- Even the wizard's rod tree gives a bit more benefit build depending.

I think Ranger honestly needs a weapon tree revamp or be the one bow specialized character available- Or even be the one axe user.

Hammers and war hammers count as clubs. The Thunder God's Hammer not counting as a club is a confirmed bug.

I'm not really sure why it uses clubs either; but I do think they'e one of the better weapons in the game (the wide, arcing hitbox is amazing. see: axes). I think the club-charging is kind of... not worth it. Shockwave should be on-hit with a 2-3 second cooldown if they're going to do that (I'd rather see it as an upgraded stomp for wildling though).

Having a different bow tree than the rogue would be interesting (Less trickshots, more power? Charging an arrow?) .

A bear trap would be very interesting, too; since ranger already has a hunting dog.

I like ranger, but if you aren't going for dog stuff I don't see the point right now.

Also, do you really find dagger tree that good beyond 1 point? I never seem to get much damage out of it and you're missing points from so many other strong passive skills.

Range is good and the double hit can add up quickly on the dagger passive. And it's only 3 points to cap it. Out of the weapon trees it's pretty concise.

I personally think the club tree is more complimentary towards the pet rather than the pet being complimentary towards the club tree. Something like the pet's lunge attacks can out DPS the club by the end of caves if you are lucky. I think that even though it is weaker than the rest of the weapon specific trees, it is in good spot considering how the class works.
