Everybody getting sick when cheating
Well, the titel pretty much says it all.
I'd love to use a trainer to just build, without using resources. Yeah, managing resources is fun, but sometimes I'd just want to build, you know.
From what I've gathered, the sickness is an anti-piracy meassure I believe that unfortunaly also affects cheating.....
Is there any way to still use them in some way?

Why not just play an easy endless game on serenity mode?
So long as you move away from gathering posts asap (made all the easier with the free techs and large starting population) the resources practically gather themselves leaving you more than free to build as you like.

I used Cheat Engine to just give myself an enormous amount of resources for an easy builder game and to cheese some of the achievements and I never noticed anything like that.

Really? As soon as I activate it, people start getting sick. I don't even need to activate a cheat. And from what I've gathered a lot of people have the same issues.
I wonder what you do differently....

I'm guessing you can use cheat engine to modify certain things, save, then reload the game without cheat engine. You'd keep the modifications but not trigger the anti piracy after loading

"Oh no they are cheating in a singleplayer game and ruining their own experiences AFTER they paid us for the game already! We can't let them get away with that!"

That's all I can think of when I put myself in the shoes of this game's devs.

PS: I did cheat when trying the game out with an "arrrr" version and never noticed anything like that. Maybe editing the resource values directly via Cheat Engine didn't trigger anything (which is odd because that's usually detected fast).

PPS: The game wasn't for me (and I uninstalled it long ago) because of several reasons. I won't bore you with the details but I agree with a majority of the negative reviews.

I doubt that that was the intention of the devs. More likely programs like cheat engine alter the game's ram in such a way that the anti piracy is triggered. Or for all we know OP messed up a setting in cheat engine and caused this themselves

You do remember to build medical posts and such, right? I'm fairly sure cheats don't turn off the need for those.

Then why are you here?

I was bored and browsing randomly. Nothing special, really. I didn't come here to talk about how I hate the game or something. Just wanted to tell what I experienced because it's somewhat relevant.
