Neither. You let the bastards die and then use them as fertilizer for your hothouse.
Towards the end, just to make sure my food stores lasted, but without wanting to kill anyone, I just stopped producing prosthetic limbs.
Lazy bums weren't going to work anyway, so why should I feed them full rations? XD
I'm very tempted to try an extremely harsh method of gameplay where getting gravely ill is tantamount to treason. Just need to figure out a way to let all my sick people die off so I can make use of their bodies.
I think I might've beaten you to that in a different thread. :p
Just need to figure out how to unlock the "alternative food source". (Someone posted a spoiler, but I have a theory to try first.)
Especily when some of the archivements are bugged, I did get "no deaths" in first scenario even if I was publicly executing people.
And so is the option of not caring about them and let people die to make use of their dead bodies. lol
I seem to kinda prefer Sustain life myself if I am not going down the path of doing something with their corpse. Every living souls who can come back later to work in mid-late game are more useful than dead ones.
