Hello racers,

First of all, we want to thank you for your incredible support and valuable feedback on the Recharge demo! 🚀 During Steam Next Fest, we launched the demo to showcase the game and gather community feedback. Now, based on your insights, we’re working hard to make the game even better.

Some of you have noticed that the demo is no longer available and have reached out to ask why. To be fully transparent, we originally released the demo in a state that wasn’t perfect, but we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to share it with you during Next Fest. Now that the event is over, we’ve temporarily removed the demo to focus on improvements and development.

But we have exciting news! 🔥 Recharge's Alpha Test is coming soon! If you’re interested in joining the alpha and being among the first to test the latest updates, you can sign up by filling out the form on our Discord.

We're rolling out Version 0.1.1, bringing various bug fixes, optimizations, and gameplay improvements!

🔹 General Improvements & Optimizations

Optimized Main Menu loading and performance.
Refactored Skatepark environment for better performance.
Improved lighting performance.
Updated Destroy Session Logic to ensure all active sessions are properly terminated.
Implemented Doppler Effect for a more immersive sound experience.

🏎️ Gameplay & Racing Fixes

Fixed an issue where the Lap Count was inconsistent between clients.
Fixed an issue where the Race Completion Order was incorrect.
Fixed an issue where player names were missing in race results.
Improved Checkpoint Collision Handling for better accuracy.
Fixed player count validation to prevent incorrect session tracking.
Implemented Asynchronous Physics Tick on checkpoints for better performance.
Fixed vehicle substepping issues to improve movement accuracy.
Removed unnecessary bump mesh for a cleaner environment on Skatepark.

🎥 UI & Spectator Mode Enhancements

Implemented new Spectator Input system for smoother controls.
Fixed spectator-related bugs causing UI issues.
Implemented HUD for Spectator and Warm-Up phases.
Fixed missing or incorrect Spectator Texts.

🌍 Multiplayer & Session Improvements

Fixed a bug where the host leaving the game caused session instability.
Fixed an issue where players leaving the game weren’t correctly handled.
Fixed a bug where players were already in session when joining a new one.
Fixed an issue with race complete widget not spawning properly.

📌 Main Menu & Lobby Fixes

Fixed Main Menu Lobby Camera positioning and visibility.
Fixed an issue with vehicle selection visuals not updating in the lobby.
Improved Lobby Creation System to ensure correct initialization.
Implemented Settings Menu UI for more customization options.

⚙️ Additional Fixes & Tweaks

Fixed an issue with reversed air controls and UI misalignment.
Removed "P" key for Pause to prevent conflicts with input mappings.
Hotfix applied to level-specific issues and new input system changes.

⚠️ Known Bugs

If the Host leaves in gameplay, players cannot join any other session.
✅ Temporary Fix: Host a Lobby and leave. This will fix the join problem for now.
On the Skatepark map, some ramps cause vehicles to be thrown off.
🛠️ A fix for this is coming tomorrow!

Cant join or host any rooms

i see rooms on the list but just stays loading for a while then takes me back to main menu. tried to host a room and it just stays loading forever and i had to force quit. i can only do solo runs. it made me download epic games stuff at first launch but nothing came up to sign in or anything else about it. multiplayer doesn't work for me...

I tried to play on Dualsense 5 and its feels weird to have your all the movement it one analog, should have setting to remap all the button (e.g, the drive on R2 and the Reverse on L2)

This demo build is not good.

No controller support. EDIT: the controllers work but the controls are not explained at all. All steering and acceleration is on the left stick. Navigating menus is done with the right stick as a mouse, clicking it is select. No motion blur disable option. No AI racers. I get just wanting to put something out there but come on. Not your best wheel forward....
