Well you're right, there is no way out. But there is a way to get rid of the gun and make it impossible to join the system. Just sayin.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a "place" that you can "get," but it is a bullet you can dodge. If, in the last level, you do a spin to make sure "you" (the red you) is facing as far right or left as possible and aim at the farthest point of your face, you can fire and do a spin in the other direction to succesfully dodge your own shot. Do this until you run out of ammo and you can no longer kill yourself.

This is such an awesome find! After wasting all Ammo you can throw your gun and hit yourself but it does nothing. You can't hotswitch or escape either so you are stuck and only can leave via ALT + F4.

It's a genuine bug but it would have been an really epic secret ending!

I thought it was pretty hilarious. Especially because you can still punch yourself too. But apparently the player has nerves of steel, because he doesn't even flinch from a punch that normally can kill people.

I hope that one day they secretly patch in an alternate ending utilizing this bug. Maybe even hotswitching into yourself and thus being able to escape to erase yourself from the core before being consumed in the first place and so on.

But maybe that's simply not possible because we are all caught into the system after all since we played superhot.exe for the first time.......
