Performance Fix
When you are launching SUPERHOT, you get a red window that lets you choose the resolution and whether you'd like the game to show on fullscreen. After that you must click in "START SUPERHOT", before doing that, press shift and click on it. A window which all unity games have shows up and does pretty much the same thing, but I'm 80% sure it actually fixes the >30 fps issues relation with the display thing.
Just start the game like that and it might fix it for you, it did for me.

From 30 to 40, nice. Wonder what's going on?
I think the game is flawed, so it loads 2 or more monitors when you aren't using them, even if you don't have them.

Bad ingameperformance
When this game was released, everything was fine. Now, I have 15 fps ingame, tried different graphics configurations and didnt got any better performance. Anyone got an advice?

Hi HupDrop,

I hope I am not responding too late. Are you still struggling with framerate?

Hi Lucas,

by the time I figured out what the problem is.

First of all, I use two monitors. If I select the "Screen 1" option in the startupmenu, the game opens on my second monitor. Everything runs fine, but when I select the other option, the game runs with 15 frames max. The selection for windowed mode doesen't change this circumstance.

It seems like, there is something wrong with the screenselectenmenu.

It should launch a red launcher, there you shift click the button that says "START SUPERHOT"

This really helped! Man what is it about unity that makes this game run worse than fallout 4? >.<

Wierd, another guy in a different post suggested that when the launcher comes up you hold shift down while clicking on start super hot. I guess this prevents unity games from trying to run on more than one monitor at a time?

They didn't optimize this and it looks like it runs on 1 core.

I've got a GTX 1080 over here and getting like 15fps... It's unplayable. Reading this thread, this has been going on since March? anyone have any real solutions to this? Shift clicking START SUPERHOT doesn't help at all.
Hobbes Jan 3, 2017 @ 7:16pm
Just wanted to post a quick update here for anyone else suffering this problem. So, the shift-clicking START SUPERHOT actually does work. Given that nobody has actually gone into specifics for how it works, I will try to do so as best as I can. I really doesn't make any sense and is something that these guys need to fix but, I'll explain how I got things to work.

After shift clicking that start button, the window that folks have discribed above opens up. If you just go ahead and start the game from there without changing any settings, it'll just start in the same way with terrible framerate. If you change the resolution, same deal... what I had to do to actually get my framerate to improve was change the resolution to something lower then my monitors standard res, select windowed mode, and then start the game. What's silly about this is that even though I changed the resolution AND set it to run in windowed mode, the game did neither of those things... it did, however fire up running at 60fps. No higher or lower... it's locked at 60 (which is annoying but, I'm happy enough). This setting stuck too, btw... now I just run SUPERHOT the normal way, without shift clicking, and it's running at a smooth 60fps (at my monitors native res, not windowed).

Anyhow, just thought I should update y'all - If you're having this framerate problem, keep messing around with settings in that "shift-click" window till things eventually improve.
