dude, one of the first few discussions on the page is criticizing how short the story is, being only 2 hours, how the did you miss that? the title is the campaign is only 2 hours
But I guess the story mode isn't the Focus of the game, it's supposed to be pretty cool; But if you just want to play storymode, you probably should be looking for another game.
tl;dr It's a VERY DIFFERENT kind of story.
The only voice acting is "SUPER HOT" at the end of levels. Still, the game's story works surprisingly well aroudn those limitations.
It's not Shakespeare, but it's a decent time and is a fun story. The main draw is the gameplay for sure.
There is no plot, the text elements (which implemented interestingly) go nowhere, give nothing to think about, and are not even clever, profound or intriguing, and the game itself (in terms of levels) does nothing interesting in regards to story or 'world building'.
