Some virus scanners consider it suspicious so that's probably why this thread exists.

yeah probably contains some malicious code. otherwise what would be the reason for requiring root to start application?

Turns out I was probably wrong about this because, earlier today, my virus scanner (Norton Security) reacted the same way to Rabi-Ribi & it's never done that before. It said something like "This program has no valid data signature." My only option was "OK" & it didn't seem to do anything.

Im pretty sure any games with viruses would get nuked from orbit by valve almost instantly

I always feel sorry for people who actually believe this.

Norton stopped being a valid antivirus solution in the 90s, and has been progressively turning into worse and worse malware ever since.
