The big FAQ for MIND CONTROL DELETE
This is only a stub of our grand FAQ for MIND CONTROL DELETE. To get all information you’re looking for, to learn how to receive your free copy of MCD (if you’re eligible), see who Zardonic is, or check some info on our future plans and more, please head here: https://superhotgame.com/mcd-faq/

Sooo what is this MIND CONTROL DELETE thing?
MCD is the third game in the SUPERHOT franchise.
This is a separate game from SUPERHOT and you are not required to own one to play the other. MIND CONTROL DELETE gives you more insight into the world of SUPERHOT, more story, more signature gameplay. Click here to see some trailers and buy buttons: https://get-mcd.superhotgame.com/

How is this different from SUPERHOT? What’s new in MIND CONTROL DELETE?
While designing MCD our intention was to present our fans with even more SUPERHOT gameplay. This approach dictated our design process.

- Much bigger than its predecessors, MCD immerses you in its world for days of increasingly explosive slow-motion combat.
- More mechanics at your disposal than ever before. Experiment with different play styles, different character builds, different ways to outsmart and dominate your enemies.
- More power to accumulate as you progress through the game. Amass skills, hacks, special techniques to conquer waves of ever more dangerous enemies.
- More characters for you to control and for your enemies to throw at you. Test your arsenal of tricks and weapons against increasingly deadlier, smarter foes.
- More polish applied over nearly four years of Early Access development.

MCD offers a more refined, sharper, flashier experience than any SUPERHOT so far.

Who is eligible for a free copy of SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE?
You’re eligible for a free copy of MCD if you purchased SUPERHOT before the 16th of July 2020 for Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Games Store, Origin, or GOG. This does not extend to major free giveaways like Twitch Prime, Games With Gold, and similar.

Basically, if you purchased SUPERHOT for one of the supported platforms and paid money for it at any time before the 16th of July 2020, then you’re probably a fantastic human being and you’re eligible for a free copy of SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE. How you acquire your free copy varies from platform to platform – see details in the full FAQ.

After 16.07.2020 will new purchases of SUPERHOT include MCD for free?
No, this is a one-time event. Purchasing SUPERHOT will only make you eligible for a free copy of MIND CONTROL DELETE until 16.07.2020. This means that 16.07.2020 (6PM CEST) will be the last day to qualify to receive a free SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE by purchasing SUPERHOT.

What if I received my copy of SUPERHOT for free?
This offer only applies to copies of SUPERHOT bought before the release.

If you didn’t purchase SUPERHOT, you should not expect a free MCD. Acquiring SUPERHOT through a big free giveaway like Games With Gold, Twitch Prime, Game Pass, or similar does not qualify you for a free copy of MCD.

Why are you doing this, giving away two million games for free? Seems insane!
We’re incredibly lucky and privileged thanks to you. The support of you and all of those customers like you allows us to keep the studio independent. You let us run it however we please, without care about bottom lines and profit margins. You let us do weird things – invest in crazy experiments that will never see the light of day, build things that are trying to help other video game studios, even directly fund and support beautiful tiny indie devs in SUPERHOT PRESENTS: https://superhotgame.com/2019/08/13/superhot-presents-2/
You’re allowing us to continue to do weird and wonderful things with our lives. It only seems fair that we try to return the favor. As a tiny token of our gratitude, we hope that coordinating this massive, complicated giveaway scheme helps bring a bit more joy into your life.

I have literally any other question
Please head to our grand MCD FAQ and if the answer is not there - ask us here or via mail (superhot@superhotgame.com).

Do notice that on some platforms it might be delayed up to 7 days. It's out of our hands.
To check if it’s there, please go to the store page and check if it shows as owned on the store page. You might also need to close your platform’s client and reopen it for the page to update. Do check your library too.

I notice the Switch eShop isn't on the list and I just wanted to confirm whether or not that was intentional or just overlooked
EDIT: to save anyone else a click, no MCD for Switch but you can email them your Switch purchase receipt for a DRM free copy of MCD for PC

The FAQ is clear about both individual purchases of the game, and also about copies obtained for free as a giveaway (ex, GamePass). But it is unclear about copies obtained by purchasing a bundle: For example, people who obtained SUPERHOT as part of the "Humble Conquer COVID-19 Bundle" back this past April. Do those owners fall into the "Qualify" or "Not Qualify" category?

Additionally, if such users do NOT qualify (which I would entirely understand), how could they go about purchasing a qualifying copy on Steam, since Steam doesn't allow adding a duplicate copy of the same game on the same account?

Does it qualify if you buy from a official third party seller like Greenmangaming?

Sorry to bother, but it seems like just a single thing about eligibility for a free copy of MCD is not covered on the FAQ.
If a copy of SUPERHOT was purchased on the other Steam account and 've been sent to my account via Steam gift (not the activation code), then technically i haven't bought it. To be clear, there isn't any entry in my "purchasing history" in Steam for the original game.
It is acquired not through a giveaway and has been paid for - the only snag that my account personally got it for free.
So the question is: is my steam account eligible for a free copy of the MCD in these circumstances?

P.S. I am totally supporting the idea that friend whom i got SUPERHOT from is a fantastic human being, as well as SUPREHOT team, and willing to gift the original game to some of my other friends just for the sake of spreading the system.
SyntheticJackalope  [developer] Jul 12, 2020 @ 12:39pm
If the copy has been paid for, the recipient of the gift will get another gift - MCD ;)
Yes, those copies are eligible.

And what with SuperHot Copy that i recieved with backing SuperHot Card game?

Did you activate it on Steam? If so, please check MCD's store page to see if you can play it.

I own Superhot on Steam and on Xbox and I didn't get MCD for free on either platform.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I have a question: how to exit the ending screen of Mind Control Delete? I pressed e for some time and wandered it with cursor keys, but it gets pretty annoying.

After pressing E a couple of times you indeed need to find an exit with arrow keys. Just follow the trail.
