Playing global version when in Japan

I'm having trouble trying to connect to global server while in Japan even though I read something that it does not have region lock. Is there anyone who have a similar issue?

I'm in Asia temporarily and the game is telling my global login a connection issue too.. came here to see if there was maintenance. Hm, that sucks.

Its region locked. You need VPN ( most of them are getting banned by devs often too.) .. just another ♥♥♥♥♥♥ publisher. You need to play the JP version if you are in JP long term.

I think anyone who'd end up on the Japan server specifically are region locked. That's what I read anyway.

People travel though, they shouldn't block those on US/EU accounts from logging in, as long as they keep their Steam profile on the US/EU regions.

yeah i wish it worked like that but im in korea until October using a vpn is fine but its annoying

nah,japanese can play steam version,too.

but KR and TW need go back to their sxxt server and play a game full with terrible problem.

3 years taiwan still only can play the {china taiwan} umamusume,because cygames give taiwan server to china company to let china play their {china taiwan recognize game} in the taiwanese umamusume,and even now still not fixed and taiwanese all run away already.

I was using expressvpn until 3 days ago, worked fine, and then it stopped. I guess that got banned too?

I also have the same issue. even using android emulator to check that i got banned or not. it is the same. i still can't connect to servers and i have try other vpn too still didn't solve anything. did someone knows what happened?
