Giants are awful
In single player they were somewhat doable, but now in multiplayer their health is ridicously buffed, on top of that there is no scaling based on how many people you are playing with, so if I play with one other person I have to deal with a giant that has health scaled to 6 people.

They also home in on your base at night, usually when you are dealing with the pressure of the seasons.
I tried putting them on less to alleviate the problem but they still always show up, destroying days of work IRL. Completely game wrecking and impossible to counter.

And yes it is impossible to counter when they have this insane health pool. Bee and Teeth Traps, multiple spider queens, were bears, pengulls, hers of beefalo and deerclops is still trucking.
And if you're blessed to get him away from your base guess what?!
He goes around killing EVERYTHING, all those renewable resources? Gone.

I'm never playing with them on again, absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Learn to kite, all you need is some cactus flesh, a good weapon, and decent kiting skills, bring football helmets and a walking cane, those help too.

Giants have 2x health regardless of player count in DST. So it's like 3000 to 6000 for Bearger. All you have to do is make extra gear and fight them the same as always.

And there are people who have solo'd Toadstool, a 60k hp boss so...yeah...git gud my dude.

This is something that has existed since the begginning of DST, underserved elitism.
You are good at DS, I however could push your ♥♥♥♥ in in Dominions, which I have nearly 4000 combined hours in.
However being an adult and recieving personal self worth from real life interactions not solely based on a game, I wouldn't lord over you about the ass kicking I just delivered as I understand you don't have as much as experience as me.

Giants are ridicousoly overpower.
Especially if you are in a group of two where you both are characters with poor combat ability, Maxwell, and Wickerbottom.

Terra at least provided some useful information, one of my biggest issues with the game is the crafting menu when your around tech buildings, hard to gather their usefulness and priority in making them.

Bearger, Dragonfly, Meese, isn't so bad those seasons at least allow some breathing room and night isn't half the day.
However during winter, DeerClops is an almost insurmountable challenge, even when you kite him away he will immediatly start murderboning everything around him when he renders.

She can solo most bosses. Also woodie is quite good at solo toadstool.
But ofc any optional raid boss is easiest and best with a group of friends. DST is fun with 5+
For 2 coop casuals this game is not well balanced :x
But there is also solo HP mod ...

Only a few giants spawn on the player in DST (deerclops and bearger?). Well if you've played DS, you should know to run from base if you hear either. For players like me who are not great at solo killing giants, you can walk your giants to the swamp and have them kill tentacles for you and you get loot).

I just walk my pet deerclops and make him farm all kinds of monster meat and tentacle spikes + killing spider dens and destroying merm huts. When it gets low enough, I just kill it. For bearger, I go to a thick forest to farm tons of logs and eventually will spawn multiple treeguards (get a bunch of living logs) and bring it to low enough health that I can kill it with a few dozen kiting hits.

Bee queen is quite hard even with multiple players. I would highly suggest using a pan flute and at least two stacks of gun powder (80 or so, using 113 will kill it but might also burn the bundling wrap blueprint so I wouldn't use more than 110). Hammer the beehive, use panflute, put down gunpowder, light gunpowder, then use panflute again so it doesn't wakeup which it usually does before the gunpowder goes off. Repeat with another stack of gunpowder. Eventually you should get it low enough that you and others maybe kill it. So stock up on nitre, rotten eggs and charcoal. In DS, I use gunpowder on Dragonfly and it's just so easy on hard to kill giants that have so much damage output.

Dragonfly in DST, you need to build a long wall at a lava pool in the middle (to stop the larvae from attacking you). Might need a panflute if it gets enraged. But two people can easily take it down with decent armor and hambats.
