Anyways, i'm not sure adding more perks to one of the more complex characters in the game would help make him more fun. Maybe buffing the things he can craft now would make him more viable to some people.
Also, what makes you think they rushed Wormwood?
I think he'll probably be at least somewhat popular due to him being able to craft Living Logs on its own, that mechanic's a complete gamechanger. Completely negating the resource investment of Farms is also pretty crazy, even the most staunch anti-Farm players would have to admit that just being able to plant seeds without any additional resources required makes that very much worth it.
Most of this thread is just appealing to bizarre mechanics seemingly for the sake of "scientific accuracy" but Don't Starve doesn't follow absolutely everything to a T in that sense. Wilson doesn't become more vunerable to fire by growing his beard out for example.
The armor provides a great reason to use both armor and helmet, which is usually not ideal until 1 of them is about to break.
Also, more iceboxes if Wickerbottom and/or Webber is around, the farming potential is real.
(wormwood protects the beaver , beaver keeps gnawing then plants saplings for sanity,)
and ofcourse webber for spider gland and monster meat, as he loses no health from that
ofcourse wicker for farming potential and then you got a decent 4 man team
wall of text & formatting are painfully to read
on the topic: no matter how they will rework wormwood he will still stay the worst character on the entire DS rooster to port forward into DST.
keep your fingers away from that char, if you enjoy playing with friends & relaxed coop stuff :p
wormwoods is like a worse version of webber in the sense he makes only solo sense, & at the same time makes 0 sense solo too.
Wormwoods is so badly designed it makes you cry, if you think about his void ability in BOTH solo & coop environments ;_;
Big wasted opportunity on kleis part. And big waste to block 1 new DLC char slot for one of the worst design / concepts
If you love complaining about him so much, just go to Klei forums and complain about him there. You will have more room for complaints and more people will hear you this way, everyone wins!
back to the topic: it's a bit hard to read @op id reccomend some spacing between sentences
sincerly a guy with also not the best spelling or formatting
The petal farming from this would actually be useful(despite the sanity loss) since it would let him get a pretty parasol really quick and easy for sanity cost in spring, it would be easy for people to plummet your sanity though(which isn't cool).
It could also be neat if he gave off a sanity aura to others while bloomed(he is very nice looking, but can't see himself).
WickerBottom is obvious cause of just planting seeds in the ground. I mean no resource farms you can endlessly expand with a caged bird.
The fact that wormwood makes mushroom farms so easy is also nice
