1.6 MB PATCH RUiNS EVERYTHING!
Geez, you release a patch that's fixed everything for me...Now your new patches puts everything right back in the pooper for me. I knew I shouldn't have let it update it; Now I'm stuck with this broken version. Thanks, Mastiff.

You can't stop Steam from updating anymore.

Also, what happend to your game?

The game was running at like 5 FPS. The 800 KB patch fixed all the problems; everything worked and was running at 60 fps. Now, it's doing the same thing, running a 5 FPS. I'm never gonna be able to finish this game.

You can still stop games from updating if you want to

No, you can't; you can only change HOW it updates. Unless you're in offline mode.

Same for me. Good job, Mastiff.

Did not fix/ruin anything for me, still 30fps capped with fraps saying 60.

I wish their was a way to roll back patches. I'm just annoyed since I started playing the game a couple days ago, and it's driving nuts wondering when I'll be able to play again.

Out of curiousity, what GPU do you have? I'm wondering if it something with newer GPUs that cause this 5 fps problem.

GPU: Radeon HD6770M, CPU: i7-2670QM
A laptop bought 3 years ago, runs Bioshock Infinite and Skyrim at 50+ fps. It can't be that slow running a game released in 2005.
Btw, Mastiff has just released a 788KB patch, but it doesn't fix the 5fps problem for my Gurumin. :squirtmeh:

At least Gurumin on the PSP didn't have anything close to the bugs the PC version has... No idea what's happening here but I really hope they manage to fix the game properly.

My guess would be the changes made to getting it to work on modern machines. It did come out ten years ago. Still, rather deal with a few bugs then have to deal with the PSP's nub. Hate that thing so much. The nub, not the PSP. The PSP was great. Especially with cfw turning it into a portable emulator device.

What I do is run the game max res windowed, turn Vsync off, and use WindowedBorderlessGaming (a tool that's been mentioned in a few forums for various games on Steam, so I've always kept it around - google it if unsure). This results in a steady framerate - which is 30fps for me, but I've accepted the game just runs that way.

Fullscreen with vsync has slowdowns here - I lose a few fps when an area's name appears, or during fades to interior views on the map screen (like going into the forest, or into the caves). When the name/fade's gone, framerate seems normal.

That's sucks; this patch actually has the game running for me. I can only hope the Mastiff can figure this out soon, so everyone can enjoy it. And hopefully, the next patch doesn't break the game for me again.
