Oh... wait a minute.
(rolls eyes) shame on you batterystaplegames .... shame on you for making this game a homage/ tribute to the megaman style of games.
IM SOOOOO happy rikashey bought this to my attenson aswell...
theres no way in hell im not not going to buy this
its so much of a disgrace that i have to shame you by throwing my money at you,
in the hopes that you NEVER never do this again!
how could you live with yourselves and sleep at night :O,
...but in all seriousness tho,
cool looking game :).
i look forward to running around as our "red hero who shell not be named"
f**k this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ opinion about your game :)
keep it up !
No way, it's clearly a rip-off of the first Duke Nukem game; you play as a blonde character with an energy gun destroying an army of robots made by an evil scientist, it's clearly the same thing.
The enduring legacy of Capcom, folks.
Capcom worldview: "Not Ryu? not interested."
Can't even get them to release Dragon's Dogma Online in the US, ffs. And they abandoned Darkstalkers way back. (Still bitter)
SNK's same way; as much as I love a good King of Fighters game, it's a shame there's been no attempts at continuing the Last Blade series or any of their other games in forever. :(
get your complaints straight :P
If there's one thing that pisses me off it's low effort crap.
Don't just blatantly copy ♥♥♥♥, take inspiration from it and make something wholely your own and unique.
The guy might as well have posted the Megaman SNES ROM to Steam if he's going to spew out low effort ripoff crap like this for a quick buck.
But you guys will buy any old crap as long as it's nostalgia from a game you played once or twice as a kid and all of a sudden love as an adult.
Not even suprised that this got past Steam Greenlit because the "community" will Greenlit anything.
1. I was in the mood for a platformer game
2. online co-op
3. Roguelike-lite elements tend to add replayability
4. I saw a video on YouTube of people playing co-op and it looked too damn fun to pass up.
So far it's been a win on all four counts.
Not related to the decision to buy, but I was happy to see the art is colourful and crisp, instead of being another lazy-ass "LOL SO RETRO" pixel art game. You want to talk about lazy, that's what's lazy. Pixel-art games are mostly just a lazy way to avoid making decent visuals and a cheap attempt at playing on retro nostalgia.
I'm so damn sick of that rubbish now.
