You'll want to be cautious picking up Augs like The Volunteer in Endless Mode, because after System Restore appears, you'll be forced to live with the downsides. (Whether the downside is from the prototypes or the lack of shops is for you to decide.)
that means there needs to be a plan in place incase the random result for a drop would be that item, logically the easiest thing to do is just to cycle to the next item in the drop list, which would manufest as a skip in predicted item order. but if that's not what's done, then it's also possible another item is selected as a substitute via another random process and then the original list order is resumed, this would manufest as a blip in the item order. finally, it's also possible, but least likely, that more than one entry is skipped on the item list and then the list is resumed from that point. this would present the greatest challenge in recognizing a pattern for the basis of the item list.
But in my seed decoding project, I haven't toyed with the idea of exploring a seed in endless mode. I don't know why it hasn't occured to me before to do so. I can use that to test some data points I didn't think I could, and will be able to form a larger more accurate table of boss drops much more quickly.
Lots of items are "once per run". Too many to list, but these are generally items that have one effect and that's it. For example, having the aug that lets you stick to walls. You can only find one of these per run, because having two would be completely pointless. Then there's the item that slows down projectiles, or platforms in levels, or volunteer shops, or even energy armor -- all of these have a single static effect and getting more than one of them would be a liability more than an asset.
Core augs half follow this rule. Once you find one, it doesn't appear until every other core aug has a chance to appear. Then once all of them have shown up once, the cycle will begin again.
Of course, this means that if you miss something, then you won't find it for the rest of the run. The game can't predict, nor does it care if you missed a one-time item or couldn't buy it, so search levels thoroughly and spend nuts only on what you need and keep some spare for that special aug.
Basically anything with a binary you-have-it-or-you-don't effect that isn't tied to a Core Aug:
Charging Magnet (collect from attack)
Crisis Overdrive (bonus stats from low health)
Crisis Timestopper (time stop from low health)
Dashbolt (attack from dash)
Enerative Plating (full energy from level up)
Entropy Lock (guaranteed drops from slot machines)
Forgotten Momento (cast from nuts)
Fortune Stabilizer (in-level and endzone shops guaranteed to spawn from future levels)
Gapminder (no damage from falling out of the world - not confirmed monodrop)
Mistimed Protector (bonus invuln frames from damage)
Mixmatch Mastery (bonus stats from core augs)
Nutsaving Stringwire (free items from vending machines)
Quantum Spook (no bullet absorption from walls)
Reflex Rapidifier (enemy bullets move slower from future levels)
Spillover Magnet (energy from health)
Splintering Twinnifier (two repros from one)
System Restore (heal from Very Safe augs)
Thrill Seeker (glory zones guaranteed to spawn from future levels)
Vendsmasher (bonus augs from vending machine destruction)
The Volunteer (in-level shops guaranteed to spawn as Very Safe from future levels)
World Slug (trap components move slower from future levels)
Some of those would be safe to have multiple levels of - Crisis Overdrive, Mixmatch Mastery - but these are all niche.
Does this include shops also? I mean, if i find a leg core aug when i cannot afford it, i cannot find it in glory zones until th whole cycle is done?
Question: During my runs i experienced more than once finding a twice a core aug before finding all the pieces ( just yesterday i found twice the same chest and leg pieces, before finding a any headpiece) plus, for example 1time augs i usually can find them multiple times if not picked up. I for certain found multiple times in a single run "Voluntary" and "Matrrix converter" but based on what you tell me that should not have happened, right?
Oh, you forgot Choicebooster! It used to be stackable, but it isn't anymore.
