Map size
So is this going to continue the trend of 5 and 6 of having small maps in comparison to versions 3 and 4 where there were truly huge epic maps?

Yes, i would say it will be pretty much the same when comparing to H5 & H6 map sizes..

Today I started a game on a "large" map size, and it seemed big enough. It's not colossal or anything, but it is close to what I remember from Heroes III.

No it's not! Tell it how it is instead of trying to lie about it?
Those epic size maps from way back in the days are all gone my friends! You better believe it, because the only thing you'll be getting are huge continental maps at best. No epic/day long stride maps like in the good old days...

I figured as much. Those epic maps of IV and the games before it are why I played. H5 and H6 map size just seems like it's tryig to hurry you into fighting and discourage long game style play. I like the idea of playing 2-4 hours a day and it taking me a week or two to win a game.

Sadly the heroes games aren't made for my type of gamer anymore. Ironically the gamers that got it to the status it has. Ah well, there are other games.
