how to unlock skins/weapons for specific characters?

I'm a long time player, but on the PS4 version. Played for years and unlocked all the skins, including the challenge ones like catching a human that another pteranodon dropped midair.

It seems like skins are given out randomly on leveling up and maybe from completing the 3 challenges? Is there any way to guarantee that the one you play as will receive an unlock?

Honestly it's the biggest stretch ever but if a dev could message me to unlock a couple of my favourite skins for dilo and pteranodon it would make my day

Buy them from the market. Buy them from the game store. Trade for them. That is how you get what you want.
