If you're human - stick to the group, unless you're a scientist and find a good place to camp/snipe. Commandos, pyros and trappers are very good right now. Commando grenades will one shot any dino smaller than a carno at close or medium range, pyro flamethrowers do MASSIVE damage (as do their molotovs and flare gun) and trapper nets have a massive margin for error.

If you're a nova or ovi - find stragglers and pounce them, or simply make quick drive-bys with your claw attack to avoid dying. Raptors are currently very, very jipped in terms of balance but will soon be upgraded, according to a dev. Pounce tends to glitch quite a bit, so it's not always reliable.

If you're a dilo - spit on groups from afar, once your dino compadres run in to cause havoc due to all humans being blind go in and bite as much as you can. Dilos have a pretty large hitbox for their bites and it will kill a human very fast if you bite multiple times.

If you're a ptera - no strategy or effort needed. Hold right click, fly near a human, fly away at the speed of sound and you win. GG. Pteras also have a close-range peck attack if you get stuck on the ground, it does a good bit of damage. Tupas can't grab stuff, instead of grabbing they knock humans off structures with their crest.

If you're a carno - plan your attacks carefully. While you do have a larger health pool than most others, it will go down very, very fast if you get yourself stuck in a group. Try to stick to charging through buildings you can get out the other side of - no turning around means less time in the humans' line of fire. Your charge does massive damage, but be careful to hit your targets. Carno bite also does good damage when all else fails.

If you're a tyrant - eat all your problems away. Don't stand in doorways you can't fit through, humans on the other side will shoot at you until you move.

These are obviously very very basic, but I think they're pretty noob friendly. I'm sure you can find other guides that go more in depth for all the classes :)

Good advice: Don't be a d.ick and you should be fine.
But I have an excuse, I'm known worldwide as PC's official d.ick
