UNLOVED
Way too much grind
I have 15 hours right now on Unloved, and I'm around lvl 16. With the Karma cost increasing more and more, I doubt I will ever be able to reach lvl 100 before I have at least 100 hours into the game, which is a lot.

It's too bad because I'd really like to reach the end game with the Demon Chests and all, but I feel like I would need to stop working and play it day and night to have a chance to see it happening.

Do you have any tricks to speed up the process ? Do you have any "optimal" karma farm pattern to share ? It would help me a lot.. The lack of reward is really frustrating :/

best way is to grab a friend and grind away.

Leeching ? Do you mean joining a high level game and let people carry you ?
yep just chill at the elevator and let the veteran player find the demon chest while u sip some camomile tea and biscuits :D

Oh well. But doesn't the amount of monsters vary with the number of players ?
As long as they don't mind though.. :p

Even if you spend 100 hours ingame, who says you're going to hit level 100 when there's clearly several stages that require you to have some RNG in order to bypass difficulty settings? Now, I am not saying that RNG is bad and that it rules the game entirely. That's a very silly statement. But you are going to need fortune if you are to find enough Rank 2 and Rank 3's to achieve level 100+.

I don't have any real tips for you. The fastest way to get good gear is to be carried, play with other (competent, high level) players and hope for the best. Honestly, if you like the game, I don't see why you'd find it a problem to spend more time in order to achieve what's regarded as the more endgame tier.

Because I just don't have enough time for that. My current playtime is around 15 hours a week, it would require me two months of playing only Unloved to get to that level.

Don't get me wrong, I like this game. But I don't like it enough to spend 100 hours grinding it. Or maybe in 6 months I will have 100 hours on it, but I find it a bit sad to have an endgame that is unreachable before you put 100 hours in it.

Fair enough for your side. Still, I understand grinding - and it's not going to be the same for everyone else. I managed to get some really quick Rank 2's in my first 20 games, and they've helped me a ton.

There's already been a very good thread about balancing the drops on Rank 2's (as they are what is deemed as "spec trinkets"). I've supported this cause but I've yet to hear anything from Blue's side. I think that the Rank 3's should be left untouched at least. It's a living hell to get a good trinket but that's pretty much the point of it. Besides, the mental and material reward is greater the harder something is to acquire it. (Of course, there's going to be whiners that just wants an easy way out. Sucks to be that person, really.)

Ah well, these people can just use a cheat engine if they want :p
Honestly the normal grind is nothing compared to demon chest grind. The rng gets even worse when you start endgame farming.
Speaking of RNG, am I the only one who has never seen a single shotgun trinket (not even a rank 1) after 60h? I just checked, I've earned 133 trinkets in total, but not a single one for the shotgun. I swear there's something going on here.

I recall Rank 2 Shotgun trinkets being the hardest ones for me to get. I am not sure how long it took, but it was definitely over 60 hours. Keep at it though, it'll show up.
Rank 2 shotgun trinket was the first rank 2 I ever got, so it's probably the RNG screwing just with ya' :steamhappy:

I've gotten at least 5 in my 54 hours of gameplay. Only 1 of which was any good, of course.

RNG is a volatile beast :steammocking:

Well, 9 more trinkets and still no luck. I'll report after I earn a thousand more :squirtheh:
