As long as they don't mind though.. :p
I don't have any real tips for you. The fastest way to get good gear is to be carried, play with other (competent, high level) players and hope for the best. Honestly, if you like the game, I don't see why you'd find it a problem to spend more time in order to achieve what's regarded as the more endgame tier.
Don't get me wrong, I like this game. But I don't like it enough to spend 100 hours grinding it. Or maybe in 6 months I will have 100 hours on it, but I find it a bit sad to have an endgame that is unreachable before you put 100 hours in it.
There's already been a very good thread about balancing the drops on Rank 2's (as they are what is deemed as "spec trinkets"). I've supported this cause but I've yet to hear anything from Blue's side. I think that the Rank 3's should be left untouched at least. It's a living hell to get a good trinket but that's pretty much the point of it. Besides, the mental and material reward is greater the harder something is to acquire it. (Of course, there's going to be whiners that just wants an easy way out. Sucks to be that person, really.)
