Xbox 360 controller not working

My wireless Xbox 360 wireless controller for PC works fine with other games but not this one. I bought the game yesterday, playing it couple times with the keyboard, then hooked up my controller to the PC as first it didn't work as I plug it in while having the game open. I closed the game and started it again, the controller worked without any problems. However when I tried to play today, I can only use it in the ''title'' screen and press start and then choose my profile, when the game goes into the screen about autosave, the controller stops working. Any one got similar issues or knows how to solve this?

The thing is that the game is made to be played with a controller or a wheel, so downloading software to fix it in a way does the job but i want to proper fix :P

Don't know what's wrong with your setup, make sure you have the controller on before starting the game, but I've had no problem with Xb360 Wireless controller.

i have the same exact issue. the only way to fix it is to rebind every command to the controller

I had this exact same problem but rebinding the keys worked, thanks man!
The controller only works in when you're driving though, and not in the menus, but the driving part is the place where I needed the controller for so it doesn't really matter :p

yeah i know it sucks that thet in the menus you have to use the keyboard but better then nothing!

Turn your PC off, remove then re-attach battery, boot PC. Wave your hands in the air, like you just don't care.

What is the actually cause of this? I just came here after a month or so of not playing and i got the same problem?

It was fine before if you connected your controller you could use it for menus and everything, but now it wont work? Dont know about driving i havent bothered, i came right here after i noticed it.

Before if you touched a button on the keybaord it would switch to keyboard/if you touched a button on the controller it would switch.

What have they done or updated that has aggravated whatever it is that stops this from working?

Nope went in and tryed a few cracks at it, tested everything, cant use flashbacks anymore. Menus require keyboard. Which means for me getting off my couch and walking to the desk, And it says on the store page "Full controller support" So unless they fix this they are blackmailing us.

Ah well, suppose its gives mes a reason to go try out my steering wheel i bought haha =D

ahhahahha yeah very very annoying. because of that i stopped playing...
