In the windows, in the device profile set the wheel angle to 400º, work fine for me
In the game, use X wheel button for star the game ,in wheel avance options, remove death zones, set buttons, etc
I tried this and looked it over a few times, and I definitely did exactly what it said. Has this worked for anyone?
No wheel preset shows up, only keyboard.
For the steering turn the wheel left for left key, it will show up as LEFT X-axis.
Do the same for right, break and accelerate.
And you have to set the Steering Deadzone to 0%.
I have also set the throttel/break deadzones to 0%
I have not tried strangegt's method, because it now works fine.
Yeah I've done that too, but I'm just tired of having to navigate the menus with a keyboard.. Are you able to get around without it using the wheel's d-pad? Also, if I flashback I have to use the keyboard and it's just annoying :(. I also feel like the wheel weight isn't enough even at 100.. It feels loose more than it should, I find... though I've never drifted cars around rally stages in real life so what do I know? :P
Thanks but the problem is that it's not even detecting the wheel in controller setup.. I can manually input controls for in-game driving (by going over keyboard settings) but I'm not able to navigate menus and whatnot because it doesn't detect it as a racing wheel..
I created a guide with the solution: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=432432407
Hove you loaded the profile in control settings?
Thrustmaster T500 RS Racing wheel
With space ---------^
Thrustmaster T300RS Racing wheel
No space------------^
Look your "Set up USB game controllers" for the correct name. (search this in windows 8)
If the name is correct in all files the device is autodetect by the game.
And of course set some options like deadzones, etc.
Thanks I'll take a look tonight.. Darn that space.
Thanks, that helped!
Navigation with the wheel buttons is much easier :-)
You have to make sure that the name matches exactly your wheels name from Windows! The T150 show up as "Thrustmaster T150 Racing Wheel" (notice the uppercase "W" as opposed to the lowercase "w" for the T500). The wheel will show up only if the name matches EXACTLY!
To see the name you can go to the Control Panel and search for "Set up USB game controllers" (should be under "Devices and Printers").
If you did everything correctly the wheel shoul show up under Options/Controller/Preset. And you can even navigate the menus with the D-Pad, Use "X" for enter, and "O" for back/escape.
Thank you SO much for this hint! In Windows 10, the T150 shows up with a lower case "w", nevertheless it must be written with upper case "W" in the XML files. I've been searching for a solution for many days now, and your hint finally helped me to make it work. THANKS!!!
