Books?
The books you pick up. What are their use and is there anywhere in the menu I can read them?

When you pick them up they increase a stat. It pops up at the bottom right of your screen.

You can only read notes.

You can see from your skills menu (I think it's your skills menu). They'll be in the "modifiers" tab, or something like that.
