The Future of Dual Combat + Demo Release

It’s well past Halloween so it’s time for an update. Time sure flies, doesn’t it?

The past few months have been busy for me, having to realign the priorities in various aspects of my life. Dual Combat’s post-release has unfortunately been affected by this.

I have made the decision to put Dual Combat’s content roadmap on indefinite hold. Currently I don’t have the time to commit to a full-fledged roadmap, and I would rather temper players’ expectations instead of keeping them in limbo. However, don’t be surprised if you see random updates drop here and there. There are still things I would love to try and add to the game!

Even though the roadmap is on hold, there's still something new to share! Starting today, a demo of Dual Combat will be available to try on Steam. This demo features the tutorial stage and a selection of three levels from the first zone in the game. In addition, the price of the game is dropping to the new low price of $4.99.

I hope players will look forward to trying Dual Combat and the unique experience it has to offer.

Early Access Content Roadmap Update

Hey all,

I'm sure you've noticed there has been no patch updates for August and September. Unfortunately, I've been dealing with a family issue that has taken up a lot of my time, delaying progess. Therefore the roadmap will be pushed back to accomodate for recent events. Players can expect an updated roadmap posted some time between late October and early November.

In the meantime, we've got some fun news to share. Dual Combat will be going on sale for the Steam Autumn Sale, taking a whopping 15% off! It's the perfect gift for someone who wants to fight themselves.

In addition, a free demo for the game is in development! Players can expect it to drop before Halloween.

Stay healthy soldiers, and looking forward to seeing you on the battlefield once again.

Attention Soldiers: New Features incoming!

Our roadmap for the rest of 2025 has been finalized. Here's an outline of all the new features and updates we've scheduled and when to expect them:

🌞The Summer Patch🌞 (August 31st)

🍁The Fall Patch🍁 (November 30th)

New Game Mode: Time Trials! Put your skills to the test and beat the record times

❄The Winter Patch❄ (February 28th)

New Game Mode: Custom Level Builder/ Custom Level Sharing. Create custom made levels. Share them with your friends and play levels made by your fellow soldiers.

We're super excited to roll out these changes! Be sure to check out our Bluesky Profile[bsky.app] where we'll be posting devlogs, progress, and other silly notes. In addition, we will be keeping tabs on our the Steam discussion boards for any bug reports, as well as any suggestions you have for the game.
