We hope that we can one day give Trine 3 the conclusion it deserves in some form but at the moment it's not possible, unfortunately.
I am grateful that it will be a new game, new storyline and the return to the more classic style of the first two Trine titles.
Without wanting to labour the point, nor derail the topic, I was disappointed with the short length of Trine 3 and its ending, and the 3D style - whilst I appreciate the experiment - was awkward and too far removed from many of the core features that made T1 and T2 such a pleasant experience! This is not hateful, but genuine criticism from my personal experience.
So in all, I am relieved to understand that T4 will be something of a "return to form" and am looking forward to it.
I have faith that Frozenbyte have a true dedication to making quality games given the earlier titles and 9Parchments and wish to preserve an integrity and wish them the best.
