Report Nathan or Hide the Truth?
On my first playthrough I decided to report Nathan to the principal on the justification that being honest would lead to less complications in the future, but I started to doubt my choice as I learned that Nathan's family holds a lot of influence over the school because of their wealth and that the principal might not be the most competent person to handle the situation. Plus, considering the conversations and journal entries, it seems reporting the truth is going to come back and bite me later on and I just dug myself a deeper hole when Max's mother texted back saying the principal accused me of lying.

But if I decide to hide the truth, wouldn't Max end up in trouble for setting off the fire alarm? If I told the truth, then at least me witnessing Nathan would justify Max setting off the fire alarm.

What was your choice and justification?

You're screwed either way, so might as well give Nathan a bit of trouble.

I have 2 different saves. In one shes a goodie two shoes where shes nice to everyone and the other where shes kind of a ♥♥♥♥♥ to see what the effects are down the line .

Yeah, I have 2 saves too, with different decisions. If you hide the truth, the principal will say that he sees what you are doing here, and lying or hiding the truth may cause you a lot of trouble, so you kinda become enemies with him afterwards. Anyway, reporting Nathan seemed like a better choice for me.

Its one of those situations where you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't.

Remember that you can reverse time. Study the principals manner of speech and personality and decide for yourself.

I reported him; it seems like the right thing to do, even if they don't believe you at the time.
What if his problem progresses? I think it's better to have this to stand on in the future, just in case.

I hid the truth, I know Nathan isn't that stupid to keep the gun with him at all times.

Well, when it comes to politics......money always matters more, so the principle will be a pet of the rich familes, so why tell the truth, when it will mean jack? i went with hide the truth, because its better to keep it a secret then to tell someone who listens to money more then morality.

I'd better hide the truth, so if there's a chance i can bait him with it

It doesn't matter.

SPOILER:

If you do not report him, there is a chance that you can be suspended from school at the end of episode 2, if you claim he had a gun and blame him.

It doesn't matter, And honestly the story becomes more suspenseful if you report him, Which is pretty much exactly how the game wants you to feel 🤷‍♀️

Reported him. Then blamed him for Kate and got him suspended. Yaaaay. Also cool to give Wells smth to regret for the rest of his life, even if it's in temporary AU
