Be mean or not?

Victoria is very mean. I tried to be nice to her but she said we won't be friends.... Should have been mean to her too? Or what did u guys do to her? ^^ I hoped that we can be friends..but well it failed.^^

You're not winning her over, not in one episode anyway. but at least you can get some goodwill out of her.

I was nice but didn't expect her to be friends anyway. Really though, this is the fun of it--getting to choose what you want to do to her. The way I keep thinking of the game is that perhaps if you do certain things now (like if you're nice to her) it'll work in your favour somehow, further into the chapters.

But yeah like the rest of the game, the choice is yours! :) If this is your first playthough, once you complete the chapter you can see what percentages of other players picked for all the choices in the chapter. I think for this one the majority was nice to her, but again you should do what you want as that's the point of the game.

Make fun of her, then rewind and treat her well.
After treating Victoria well, Max can't help but wonder if she was played by her. Since I had made fun of her before, I was like "No matter what you do Victoria, the joke will always be on you, and, what's even more fun: You won't even know it :D

I see it like that. You can choose to stay in a fully hostile relation for the future or you can give her the chance to get out of her attitude cage. I bet she doesn't feels confortable with herself.
And yes that doesn't means to become friend to her. Wouldn't wan't her as friend unless she sees the hand and takes the offered chance to step out of herself.

I firstly thought that you can end episode 1 in 3 different relationship to her. In one pass I got no message from her. But after replaying it more seems the missing sms was a game bug.
I couldn't reproduce it.

edit to add: The only thing I don't know is whether messing her photos is helpful or not. It might be positive to tell her to stop this way.

Wait, you got a message from Victoria in Episode 1? When? I really don't remember seeing that in all of my playthroughs

When you leave the girl campus and before (or right after) the Kate david incident you get a message from her.
She eighter tells you an all out hate sms or something like "Thanks but we are NOT friends" depending on what you did.
Strange that you got none. I had this once too but only once and I couldn't reproduce that so I thought it's a bug.
