Graphic Mod - No CA, No Blur, Natural Colours, etc etc
Annoyed by the Chromatic Aberration, the blurring, and the colours all yellow-ish?

Do this and those will gone: (i have not determined which lines affect which graphic effect)

open Documents\My Games\Life Is Strange\LifeIsStrangeGame\Config\LifeIsStrangeEngine.ini

on [Engine.Engine] section, change the options into this (DONT COPY PASTE, manually search each lines)
bEnableColorClear=FALSE
LightMapDensityVertexMappedColor=(R=0.65,G=0.65,B=0.65,A=1.0)
LightMapDensitySelectedColor=(R=1.0,G=1.0,B=1.0,A=1.0)

look for these 2 options
LightComplexityColors=
ShaderComplexityColors=

delete all those lines and replace with this
LightComplexityColors=(R=0,G=0,B=0,A=1)
LightComplexityColors=(R=0,G=255,B=0,A=1)
LightComplexityColors=(R=63,G=191,B=0,A=1)
LightComplexityColors=(R=127,G=127,B=0,A=1)
ShaderComplexityColors=(R=1.0,G=0.9,B=0.9,A=1.0)

on [SystemSettings] section, chenges the options into this (DONT COPY PASTE, manually search each lines)
ChromaticUVNudge=0.000000
ChromaticBlendExp=0.000000
bAllowDNELensWhacking=False
bAllowDNEDOF=False
bDNEDisablePreshadowCache=True
Distortion=False
MotionBlur=False
MotionBlurPause=False
MotionBlurSkinning=0
DepthOfField=False

Screenshot of "Before" and "After" will be uploaded sometime later.

I think the idea was they wanted warmer colors but nice find regardless. Could be interesting to do for a 2nd play through .

Great that you have provided people the option. I for one definatley welcomed the mod to remove the awful film grain from Dyling Light, but for this game I welcome that kind of style but support your mod as some might not like that style. Nice one.:pandastunned:

i do like "yellowish" filter, but i dont like chromatic abberation, should i change only those 2 lines: ChromaticUVNudge=0.000000
ChromaticBlendExp=0.000000 ? thanks in advance

Hate to say it given someone put some work into "figuiring this out" but I like the original image much better. It's like you're taking a paiting an artist made, the way they designed it, and then changing the colours, making it brighter etc, and then saying "hey I 'fixed' it" LOL fixed. It may be how you'd like it to look but that's not how it was intended.

I could be wrong but I would imagine someone put more thought into intentionally making it look the way it does than you took to "fix" it. Given the game actually has photography as a main part of the story, I don't see what's wrong with them using techniques like chromatic aberration; in fact it seems pretty fitting. That said, if people prefer it this way, well whatever floats your boat.

Looking at the modded version, you turned it into a modern fps.

Yeah, my file did not had the:

ChromaticUVNudge=0.000000
ChromaticBlendExp=0.000000

Inserted these lines, but did not work. Chromatic Aberration was still in there. ugh...

It's an old topic, but the best way to remove chromatic aberration and depth of field without the lost of Ambient Occlusion, is to change only these 2 lines to False in the "LifeIsStrangeEngine.ini" file :

bAllowDNEDOF=False
bDNEAllowChromaticAberration=False

you can set MotionBlur and MotionBlurPause to False too.

Note : bAllowDNEDOF seems to remove Depth of Field in the Cut Scene (you can check it with the cut scene at the beginning)
