It was a mistake?
It was a mistake? Giving the gun at Chloe in episode 2 or Episode 3?

I think Jefferson would not have shot at Chloe if she was unarmed.

If Frank has Chloe's gun, he gives it back to her in episode 4 along with his client files. She has a gun no matter what.

I'm thinking she's gonna end up with a gun either way after you've dealt with Frank.
He carries either a gun or a knife depending on your actions from what I can tell, so it's probably going to work out in such a way that you will always have a gun.

Pretty sure he would have shot her anyway since he has no interest in taking pervy pictures of her. He more seems to dig the innocent Kate- type. So he really just gets rid off a witness shooting her.

She takes Nathan's gun also if you let Warren keep kicking his ass. He takes it out and tries to shoot them but Warren kicks it out of his hand.

I think Jefferson one way or another would have taken Chloe out, he wanted Max and Chloe wouldn't have stood by quietly, gun or no gun he couldn't let her walk away.

I'm not even sure how that outcome occurs and never saw a scene with a knife personally, But I didn't have any gun at that point either (Didn't find it in the RV in ep 3, didn't take Nathan's) and she basically just moves in and wrestles with Frank when he pulls a gun on you if you screw up the conversation, shooting him in the leg and holding onto it.
Negotiating peacefully has Frank giving Chloe her gun back also as the previous posts have said, so yeah I guess it's kind of rail-roaded in a way that she's always armed for the ending scenes.

In my game Chloe had the gun and tried to shoot, but Jefferson was faster and killed her. So yeah, having the gun didn't matter much.

That's where the game makes sure Chloe has a gun,. if you already have one Frank will pull out a knife and you wrestle him and it stabs him in the leg, if you don't have a gun Frank will have it.
I ended up with both guns.
