Max, never Maxine.
When I first heard Victoria called her Maxine, I thought, "Oh, so in this new world, she goes by her full name Maxine."

Turns out I was wrong, but I kind of like that idea. I just wish the devs thought of that idea and implanted it. Do you guys agree?

I think basically in this alternate timeline, there was an alternate Max who was a different person than the original timeline Max. This alternate Max was friends with the preps and the cool kids and went by "Maxine". When original timeline Max arrived, her "soul" (or whatever) "overwrote" the alternate Max, who now no longer exists.
Assuming the Bioshock route, Max is "renting" the other max's body until she switches to another timeline. Therefore, there's a few possibilities:
1. Other Max is dazed by her situation, and is preparing a fight to get her body back.
2. Other Max took over Prime Max's body. Who knows what damage she could do.
3. No one inhabits Prime Max's body, so it will surely be hospitalized as a vegetable.
4. Prime Max's body disappeared outright, telefragging Other Max.
5. Or alternatively...the most disastrous outcome...a false vacuum metastability event caused by the energy from Max's departure, destroying the Prime universe with a light-speed blast.

No, she didn't went by Maxine, because when Max said, "Max, never Maxine." Victoria said she knows and that she apologizes.

Then Courtney and Taylor called her Max, not Maxine.

I just thought it would be a fun idea for her to be called Maxine in this alternate world, that's all.

No, I think you were actually right! :) In the new world, Max *is* called by her fancy-smancy name Maxine; but the cool Max we know, that suddenly 're-incarnates', as it were, as a member of the Vortex club, she still sees herself as a 'Max, never Maxine.'

No, I was wrong. They call her Max too, just that one time Victoria call her Maxine. When Max said Max, never Maxine, Victoria said she knows and apologizes for it. Then later Courtney and Taylor called her Max, not Maxine, so they still call her the same in this world as the last world.

I just thought it would've been better for them to call her Maxine in this world since it's like reversing time has an chain reaction effect time of deal.

Isn't it possible that Max is the alpha ♥♥♥♥♥ of the Vortex Club in the alternate timeline, and even if they had always called her Maxine right up until that moment, they'd all say "Oh, yeah, of course, sorry" when she told them she only wants to be called Max, and try hard to get it right from that point on? I bet they'd do that with Victoria if she suddenly declared "Vicki, never Victoria."

She is the queen bee but she always been called Max, just that one slip up from Victoria. It wouldn't make sense for Victoria all of a suddenly declared "Vicki, never Victoria." If she did, her friends wouldn't be so accepted towards it, they wouldn't know it, and they wouldn't apologize for it, and the rest of the friends wouldn't just automatically call her Vicki and have a normal conversation like nothing changed.

When Max said "Max, never Maxine." Victoria said she knows, meaning she knows it was Max, never Maxine, and she apologizes for it too. Which wouldn't happened if they had been calling her Maxine all this time. And then Courtney and Taylor just casually call her Max which again wouldn't happened if they had been calling her Maxine, even if she is the queen bee, they still would question it and force of habit would still make them call her Maxine, unless a slip up here and there if they accidentally call her Max just like Victoria calling her Maxine. Victoria probably just have that slip up because she was nervous around the queen bee or just want to suck up to her (like Mr. Jefferson in the other world) or both or other different reasons or any variations of those.
