This is where the player would come in, retaking the role of Mike Schmidt as he surveys his new buisness, and the animatronics that lay wit- Where did the go? They were just there on the camera only a moment ago and...
Then each and every camera blinks with the same message; two simple words that spell it all out, and destroy the stability he'd manage to build back after so long and prove, once and for all, it wasnt just his imagination running wild.
IT'S TIME.
... Or you know, don't make a sequel. The game's pretty rad either way.
There have been too many deaths at the restaurant, so the owners finally decide they need to fix the damn animals before they start losing customers.
They close for a whole week and hire a repairman, whom you play as. The catch is that the animals have become so twitchy that they can only be disassembled when they fall asleep.
The repairman must wander around the store and search for animals who have entered the sleep state, before they wake back up. All the while making sure not to be seen by any animals that are awake. He can run back to the security room any time he wants and check the cameras or close the doors, but he needs to have all the animals fixed by the end of the fifth night... or the store closes permanently, with him locked inside the building!
"I see the sequel taking place in a wafehouse/storage facility, like "Six nights at Sam's Storage" or something. Freddy's is finally closed down, the restaurant is completely stirpped down, but where did the animatronics go? They were sent to a storage facility for temporary storage until they get either destroyed or sold to someone else. This doesn't mean that all 4 of the robots are there. Perhaps only Bonnie, Chica, and Freddy are there because Foxy was already destroyed (since he was already in a state of disrepair).
Perhaps you play as a different night security guard (maybe, by coincidence, a new hiree to the storage facility) who gets the night shift. Same concept: don't let the animatronics get to you or they'll stuff you into one of the Freddy's animatronics within the storage shed/area. Power could not be a big issue this time but the systems you work with could be old and unreliable. Maybe there's could be random blackouts, but you have a flashlight (with limited power due to batteries) to help out until the system comes back up.
Like before the first night could have little problems: Only Bonnie attacks you and Chica just wonders around. Night two has Bonnie and Chica attacking, and Freddy continuing to watch you. Night three could have all 3 trying to get to you, more aggresive than before obviously. Night four could introduce the blackouts (which reduces you to your flashlight, or something). Then night five happens. SOME NEW ANIMATRONIC APPEARS FROM A DIFFERENT SOTRAGE UNIT/AREA! HOLY CRAP! It's someone that was never at Freddy's, but has now been affected by the curse on the robots. It will introduce a completely new character with a new personality and a new way of attacking you. Perhaps it's from an amusement park, like people are wanting. Night six, the final night, will have the robots at their most aggresive state. Perhaps the majority of the night is within a blackout, restoring the survival need of conserving power.
Lorewise there could be more little newspaper snippets describing the end of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Maybe you get a phone call one night from the Freddy's CEO stating something like "Those animatronics and invaluable to me. Ensure they are kept unharmed" and the other nights are your boss telling you to stay on night watch because he doen't believe there are any problems."
Oh it's just an idea, ok nevermind...nevermind.
