Why does this game and a few others I've played recently seem to be so short ? Are they not the actual whole versions ?

Game Only Loads 1/4 of the display?

So I have had this issue with two Nancy Drew games now. The other 15 that I own have had no issues. But for some reason, this game and Nancy Drew: Secret of the Old Clock, while the game starts, only like the upper left quadrant of the game shows. Extending the screen does nothing. Changing the display resolution setting does nothing. Uninstalling and reinstalling does nothing. When I leave the window of the game, it begins to short loop the menu music and this error pops up: RestoreDirectDraw()-DD...

"unable to create a secondary directsound buffer"

I bought this game in a pack a while ago but have just installed it today. Ran the game and a message came up straight away: CSound::LoadDIGISound() - channel 23 error, file C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Nancy Drew The Creature of Kapu Cave\HDSound\Click01.his, CDirectSound() - Unable to create a Secondary DirectSound buffer, most recent HRESULT DirectSound func Return = DSERR_BUFFERLOST Does anyone know what this issue is/how to fix it?...

Demo doesn't start

I have almost 100 hours in this game because I left it up on my laptop that I had left on for a couple of days and didn't realize it. That being said, I've played this one many times. This is worth playing once or twice, but this isn't one of the best ones at all. Get it for your collection or a first time play, but don't get this if you're looking for one of Nancy's great mysteries. Lackluster, but pretty and relaxing with mind-numbing tasks. Steam should consider putting a neutral option for recommendations because you could do with or without this one and I don't think this deserves a flat out "yes".
