Elder Wolf dissapeared and placed traps bugged out

As soon as I saw the Elder Wolf I deployed a Tainted Meat. The Elder Wolf bit it and then ran away. I took the opportunity to set some Spear Traps and more Tainted Meats, and then went looking after him, but he was gone from the location. I slept in the raft for an hour hoping it would reset the encounter, but the Elder Wolf didn't return, and then I noticed I couldn't collect the traps and baits I had deployed.

The traps bugged in the same way as this other bug.

I have had several encounters with both the Elder and White Wolf. If you don't kill them right away, they often disappear but at least the Elder Wolf (can't remember about the White Wolf) will often come back later in a new area.
