Crashing On Startup
Bought this game during the Early Access period and was able to load and play it on my MacBook Pro. Since the full release yesterday, the game has been crashing on startup. I click "Play" from my Steam library. The game icon pops up in the dock and the windowed logo shows up on screen, then the game just closes before anything else happens. Here's my specs:

MacBook Pro (15-inch mid-2010)
2.66 GHz Intel Core i7
8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512MB graphics card
OSX Yosemite 10.10.5

For general troubleshooting, have you all tried verifying your local game cache?

For PC users, have you tried the .dll fix in the pinned thread in the main discussions?

OS X - (silent) Crash on Start
Just purchased The Flame in the Flood, and I can't start it. When I attempt to start the game via Steam, I get the RiverGame icon boucning in the dock, then five or six seconds later it exits silently.

My Console reports the following during this process;
2/28/16 8:16:05.288 AM launchservicesd[84]: SecTaskLoadEntitlements failed error=22 2/28/16 8:16:05.294 AM launchservicesd[84]: SecTaskLoadEntitlements failed error=22 2/28/16 8:16:05.367 AM appleeventsd[53]: SecTaskLoadEntitlements failed error=22 2/28/16 8:16:10.421 AM launchservicesd[84]: SecTaskLoadEntitlements failed error=22 2/28/16 8:16:10.421 AM launchservicesd[84]: SecTaskLoadEntitlements failed error=22 2/28/16 8:16:12.530 AM coreaudiod[164]: SecTaskLoadEntitlements failed error=22

Specs;
Mid-2010 MBP (MacBookPro6,1) w/ 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512 MB, running OS X 10.11.3

Please advise if you need any additional information to resolve this issue.

Hoi,
have the same problem. The game won't start, only the RiverGame icon appears for a few seconds, then it exits silently.

Also Mid-2010 MBP 17", 8GB RAM, 512 GB HDD, NIVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512, running OS X 10.11.3

Thanks for the help,
Tin

Update:

Game launches on my wife's early-2011 MBP (MacBookPro8,3) w/ 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, AMD Radeon HD 6750M, running OS X 10.11.3

Still does not launch on my mid-2010 however (see first post in thread).

Please advise…

Had the same problem with no fix and attention, so I requested a refund.
Would repurchase when the game is ready to be played...:steamfacepalm:

Config info would be helpful: hardware, OS version. Are there any errors? It sounds like there are not.

Also, if you could check your save game location and see if anything is being generated there, it would be helpful. They can be found here:

/Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Epic/Rivergame/Saved/SaveGames/

Library is typically hidden, so you'll need to go to finder -> go -> go to location... and specify at least up to /library/ in the path.

Nels - apologies for not responding, we're a really small team & have been getting slammed with support requests. Thanks for keeping an eye on it, and hopefully we'll figure out what's going on and how to fix it.

I've recently been having trouble with other games when I spacebar or escape through the intro - the game won't launch. If I let the intro play game runs fine. Those three games are all unity engine - no idea about this one.

Yes, I have verified the integrity of the cache.

We're on Unreal Engine 4.
