Boar King

So, I happen to run into the "boar king," or something similar to that, while playing Endless. Upon docking, I was greeted with a quest notification to kill the beast. Four spear traps and a couple arrows later, I brought the monstrosity down. Woohoo!

... However, there appeared to be no actual reward for completing the quest. The boar itself dropped one fur and one meat, just like every other boar as well... So, am I missing something here?

Otherwise, the whole situation seemed a bit underwhelming and a little irritating considering the resources that were used to actually kill the damn thing.

I'm wondering about this as well. I checked the quest page before killing the Boar King and noticed there was no reward listed... came here to ask about it. Will not kill Boar King. :)

I got this quest as well, but since I was low on resources when I got it, I decided to just scout the location and bail without attempting to fight the boar.

When I left the location, I got the quest completed (with no rewards of course).

Well, that's unfortunate. I guess it's best to just skip him then.

It was a little sad. I at least expected 2 meat and 2 skins.

I'm wondering if the boar king spawns more than once per game? I only have two arrows, no spear traps and no saplings so there's no way I can take this guy down right now.

The bad loot is a bug. It's been fixed and will be in the next patch. Sorry about that!

one spear trap is not enough to kill the boar king. . . I made it to Day 20

I just found him today and set up four traps near the dock to get him... he ran around them and got stuck in the wall. Great... lol, I just took my traps and left. The same thing seems to happen with bears. I'll set up 4 traps and shoot and arrow into the den and he just roars and gets stuck. Lame as hell.
