Dog barking at nothing ??

Hi. So, I've just started playing this game and it seems like something I'm going to really enjoy although so far the dog's barking just has me scratching my head.

The first is the dog (and it doesn't seem to matter if it's aesop or daisy) seems to bark at nothing. I've stood by her for ten minutes watching, trying to work out what I've missed, and there is nothing. What on earth is she barking at ?? Please see attached image for an example. I'd already checked the quest cache, and read the sign containing information about the river, which were the only two interaction points I could see.

Right! Sometimes dog can find something and it lets u know, but lots of time the dog barking without any reason too much. That is a little minus of this game, but the game if really good!

I think the dog barks at the location of useable items. Although half the time the dog barks at the location of an item you have already picked up earlier.

YES very frustrating from the moment the game starts... Also what is up with the items that are stuck all over the map that you cannot pick up like Feathers that land out of your reach and so on...

I like the barking :)
It did not bother me, I found it very useful.
