Wolves vs Boars?

Anyone know whether wolves can eventually kill boars? I watched this pair for half a day, but it got to rainy and cold to keep watching so I had to sleep. Reintroduced them and have been watching another half day... doesn't seem anyone's dead. I'm trying to do a no-kill animal run and just pick up scraps from when they hit snakes but I I of need a boar hide asap :P

Funny thing is only snakes could kill a wolf and boar. 2 snakes and the predator dies. I dont think wolves and boar kill each other but it works as a diversion. If you come across those two in the wilderness better just run straight to raft or let them fight and escape.

I read on the game's wiki that they can if they manage to do enough damage. I've never seen it happen myself, but someone must believe it's possible to have written that. I know a bear can kill both, so I have to imagine a wolf works the same way but slower.

That's why I tried to experiment, but it may have been one person who made some assumptions or mistook something. I've yet to see it mentioned or discussed elsewhere and didn't manage to get it to happen after spending so much time on it, so I figure it's rather murky right now.

I had three wolves attack me, then a boar came out of no where and the wolves went after it. I stuck around for a bit and and boar killed two of the wolves. I set up two traps and killed the last wolf and the boar.

How long is a bit? I've seen that happen with no results

I literally watched from full hunger all the way down to starving 25% hunger and all i got for it was a laceration after i walked too close watching the fight.

This is an obvious oversight and really should be fixed so that they can actually be used to kill eachother.
