Cheats/unlimited money gamemode
as the title states, i think gamemode with cheats or unlimited money etc. would be nice addition for messing with stuff and not worry about resources. This should be enabled in Skirmish against AI and Multiplayer where the creator decides are cheats or this gamemode enabled or not

but as the game has exp counter that atleast counts skirmish and multiplayer (maybe campaign as well, dont know yet) the exp gain should be reduced greatly or just disabled as this would be less about the game mechanics and skill and more of messing with stuff with a friend

im just thinking out loud and would like to relive my past where i sat infront of the PS1 cheating in C&C where you could cheat money and build those 50 tesla coils

why not a handicap system like C&C 3 did?
but you're true about the unlimited money, i don't want my game becoming a "survival of R.U.S.E" or a "use everything you have like Wargame"

well i never played C&C 3 but atleast when making a game there is resource saying "Standard resources" so i suppose they will add different amounts of resources. But as of now we cannot be sure how it will be implemented, will it mean more resource fields or more resources in same time.

but overall my point is to have a special gamemode you can play against AI or normal multiplayer that lets you forget about resource gathering
Maybe just unlimited resources from sites you still have to build refineries but after that you continue to gain resources

that could work as well as being "unlimited resources" from fields so securing fields would still be important and more fields equal more resources secured
I'd love this too, the game is fun but its kind of..... I'm not big on the games that try to force you to expand cause...... I dunnu. I love to turtle and build a massive army and then smash it against the AI and some friends. Not needing to worry about that my refinerys will eventually run out. It only really allows a certain way of playing which is not what I feel is fun. If they added a option for infinit reseorces instead of just very high I'd love. Otherwise..... honestly it feels like another RUSE or wargame
I'd be up for an "Unlimited field resources option"
I was sort of hoping with mod support or map editing that we could just turn it on but doesn't look like that's an option let's hope they imement this idea
Even generals had a building that generated the resources needed for late games when the supply caches ran out. And this game is suppost to be a similar game if I recal correctly.

Update: as it stands, you can only affect the starting resources in game but fields(atleast oil) always has 1500 each field i believe. I think that being able to affect how much resources you can gain from each field would be best way to implement increased resources.

so in pre-game lobby you should be able to affect how much resources each field holds(something like 0.5x/1.0x/1.5x/2.0x/3.0x/5.0x/unlimited) or something along those lines to give more freedom to play while Ranked games should be ruled with same settings, Ranked games being all serious fight afterall
The developers should at least allow cheats in solo skirmish. It would really help with making guides.
That too, but if they make a game mode where the resources at least slowly regen that would be good.

I've choked through a longer game and have found that late game you can start to slowly generate resources, but its so little and the game punishes you for not spazzing the mouse to catch the POW's before they run off. And the single facility you get makes so little each second you gotta make a whole field of them to get a decent income from it.

The black ops guys are the best off so far that I've seen. (played them and the USA) They can create a constant income of cash and blue stuff every 10 POW's (still gotta catch them) 5 can translate into 40 blue or cash every 2 ish seconds. Along with there underground stock market which generates 4 red every 2 or so seconds.

I dunnu about the other side but really these don't cut it. To achive a income that does not lead to years to make one tank you need a whole array of all of these. And the USA can't even get a constant income of the blue as they can only buy it with POW's

Now if each faction had a resource structure to generate each resource with out the need of POW's (lets face it, when your army has a array of arti good luck catching surviving POW's) even if it was 4 at a time. I'd be ok with that, would still eat up a lot of space and power but hey I'd be cool with that. But as it stands...... it still only supports expansion game play. You don't do expansion game play? Right now sucks to be you.
Well, there are still tools like cheatengine (downloading from theire official site is safe) or if you don't wana find out how easy CE is to handle go to websites like cheathappens, sure the good trainers/cheats costs a bit but they produce good products and they never support MP cheats.

I understand what you guys meant with C&C 3, I loved it in C&C that tibirium fields acted like "normal" fields. You gave them some time and they regenerated. Surely this won't make sense with oil xD.

Anyone here who is interested in playing C&C 3 in an unnormal way? I got some maps where you play a strange version of monopoly or maybe tower defense.

And @Eugen.. next time don't let the janitor write the scripts for the missions. You wanted to reanimate the RTS games but a REAL RTS needs to have a good story. C&C without story (except generals, the story there was so intresting like the AoA campaign...) would have been way more boring.
I hate using the cheat engine (I really suck with coding stuff, really good at getting no results or complete freezes) really cheating should not be manditory anyway to find a game mode to enjoy. More so if they where telling the truth about this hailing from the good C&C days (I assume C&C tib sun being one of them?)

As for oil fields, yes regenerating oil and the blue and red stuff would be off, but I have seen plenty of games have infinit resources to harvest (a few with infinit in your bank already) and I know it should not be that hard at all to make a game mode for such (considering there's most likely already trainors for this version)
