Will Not Launch
I'm sure this has likely already been mentioned, however, I couldn't find it, or at least my particular issue.

Upon clicking "play" I get the option to select which version I'd like to play. Upon doing that, I click "play" but the game never launches.

I have tried verifying the cache, which didn't help. I've also tried playing both versions, each after verifying the cache.

I'm well within the recommended specs, perhaps the only thing I could think of would be that I'm on windows 10, however, I've run the game before and it worked fine.

Any feedback/help solving the issue would be appreciated.

Ditto, Won't launch

No crash message, the "play" option choices show, you select which one, then it never launches. No messages on why.

Try mashing Alt-Enter when booting the game. Also if Verify doesn't work go into Steam apps folder and reinstall the Redistributables manually that's usually what stops a game from booting at all with no message. To be safe uninstall and reset, than go ahead and reinstall them from scratch.

ive recently gotten the original edition to work by going into the steam menu and creating a desktop shortcut, then bypassing the steam interface and just executing the shortcut

remove the checkmark from 'use Desktop Theater ...' . Right click on 'Act of Aggression', properties , last option. Worked for me.

i've found a solution using a cracked .exe, reboot launches perfectly without fault

I'm having the same problem. When I try to lauch it from the file folder as an admin a message pops up saying "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP110.dll was not found." I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, but it wont work. :steamsad:

I recently reinstalled, and same for me. The game will not launch either the original, or the reboot version. No error, no reaction.

Try installing (separate from steam) the latest visual C++ runtime files from microsoft.

here is a workaround that worked on my side. go to
C:\Users\YourUser\Saved Games\EugenSystems\ActOfAggression
open the "Optionen.ini" with a text editor (notepad e.g.)
change the
"DefaultResolutionX" (1280 e.g.)
"DefaultResolutionY" (720 e.g.)
"DefaultMonitor = 1"
"DefaultAdapter = 1"
start the game and after video settings autodetect, set the video resolution at your opinion
