Endgame has nothing to do? Or bug?

After "Planting the Evidence" quest, I got the "You completed the Quest!" screen with the gold reward of just over 10,000 gold. Then my game locked up when I hit the "continue" button and I had to kill it from task manager.

When I loaded back in, I noted that I still had the gold, but now there's nothing to do at all? I can spend it on more guys, but I can't seem to actually go on any adventures since all the quests are completed.

Is the correct end-state of the game? I at least figured I'd be able to replay dungeons with the new guys I was able to buy with my gold, I seems odd that I literally can do nothing now. Was something supposed to happen when the game ended up crashing?

After you beat the final mission the game ends, even if your game dont crash. Sadly there is no endless playing in this game.
