Noticed something myself:
I've completely missed the favor options that are available out of combat so there might be better uses there... I'll update the guide when I've played around with that a bit.

Thanks very much for the guide, but I don't understand this part. The higher-tier heroes and items require a certain number of lower-tier unlocks to have been bought before you can take them. Is there a way around that?

Great guide! I would recommend that you make a guide in the "Guide" tab in the steam community instead so it won't disappear in a sea of forum posts. ^^

Thank you for the guide!

The 2 favor to burn a card option is actually quite good, as many heroes have cards which do just 1 damage or something like that. By getting those out of the deck, you can get the better ones. Note that you cannot burn any cards you get from skills, so if you only have Arcane 1, that mind strike will still be stuck in your deck taking up space.

Yeah, that was an error on my part, I should definitely correct that. Thanks!

Seems reasonable; I wasn't even aware that such a thing existed .) I'll look into that while also making some corrections, thanks!

Yeah, after playing with it for a bit I almost always use favors for burning cards. Not sure it's as powerful early on as it's harder to get combos that let you draw massive amounts of cards or cards that are vastly superior to your starting cards but later on I'd say it's generally much stronger than using favor in battles. Actually also started to appreciate the block option later on, saved me in a couple of close boss fights.

Just got the game today (Yay, Steam Winter Sale :P), so thanks for this. Even something simple like knowing to fight 1-2-3... when possible and to stack your skills (annoying that you can't see your current totals when selecting loot) helped tremendously.

You can see your totals. When you hover over a piece of loot, it will show what you are gaining from the new item, and what you are losing from the old. The change in your skill levels is reflected in those cards, so if it shows you gaining Arcane Barrage and Cerebrate, it means you are going from Arcane 2 to Arcane 4.

Oh, I know that. I meant seeing at a glance what all of your skills are. You can drag up the character sheet, of course, before the fight, but the darkened background makes it hard to see what you've already got. It's not a vital problem, just annoying.
