Hi everyone, we are thrilled to announce that Wizard Cats will be exhibiting at WePlay Expo 2025.

We will be showcasing the game with an on-site demo, allowing players to experience the newest gameplay features and content firsthand.

ai generated spells is stupid

there is no learning curve there is no foundation system you just string 3 vague abstract characteristic of a spell togetther, absolutely clueless of what the result could be. there is no foundation system, the system is so inheritly chaotic, you just hoping the computer give you something nice. you can never get good at this game, you can only get lucky in this game. there can never be any catharsis from any self improvement. inb4: just share and copy what other people already generated from their prom...

Small patch note about latest updates:

We had to push a fix that is incompatible with existing saves, so latest build causes you to lose your current run - thanks for your understanding on this!
Bunch of new legendaries, check them out in the collections book
Several other bug fixes identified by the community

Next Fest Patch: Rebalancing

Hi everyone, we have been making balancing changes throughout the week based on feedback during Next Fest - appreciate everyone's patience on this! Wanted to let everyone know about today's build update:

Arcana and Shards cost more gold
Runes remain the same
Health drops will increase to 4 per round in difficulty I, 3 per round in difficulty II, and 2 per round above that
Bosses drop 50 gold, mini bosses drop 10 gold

General Feedback (2 runs in)

I like the visuals, they really make the game comfortable to play for extended periods of time. However, the screen quickly becomes a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of projectiles and I'm no longer playing a game as much as I am hoping that my spells out damage the enemy hoard. When I curate a combo of spells to work together I have more agency in actually playing the game (dodging, making decisions about where to place walls, etc) but those combos are more difficult to pull off than just a full screen hit box. Very good game

I'm not a huge advocate of AI content, but this is exactly how it should be used. Already ran into one spell combo that nearly broke the game due to the AI not understanding how it worked. The Spell didn't even happen and instead created a rune in the ground made of sparks that dealt almost 0 damage. So far I'm very much enjoying this demo and look forward to the full release....

will this have controller support upon full release. i have been looking at the trailers and this is perfect for my partner and kids but they wont use keyboard and mouse. its always hard to find games that they will play and enjoy with me. so yeah just wondering if when the game is released it will get controller support thank you ^_^...
