Mouse Input doesn't work

Today i downloaded Portal Stories: Mel to my Mac and started it right away. But i ran into a Problem: i can't move the camera! The rest works fine, i can shoot portals, i can pick up items and i can move the character. The Game just does not want to respond to mouse movement. Sometimes i had the same issue with Portal 2 but then i just had to restart the game, which doesn't work in this case. Verifying the Integrity of Game Cache doesn't work either. Does someone have a solution?

I don't know how or why, but restarting Steam worked for me

I found out how to solve the problem: go to your steam library. then right-click on portal stories mel -> properties > local data > verify integrity of game cache. this can take a while. then start the game again. if this doesen't work, reinstall the game and do the game cache thing again.
