st-a3 paint fling story mode-HELP?

What's the deal with the laser and reflector cube? I've done all solutions up to this point with no help. I've watched several videos, but all were advanced mode. They were easy. How do you get the laser beam to the other receiver to turn off the red shield with the switch in it? Can anyone give me a hint as to what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

That area was bugged for me.no portal panel on left wall landing above laser beam.
Used console to get to next map.

Still an issue. I didn't remember this being a bug when I first played this, but now my game has locked me out of progression. Restarting level doesn't work.
