Can you change your portal gun?

Hello i just got this mod and i didn't even use it yet. I changed my portal gun to a custom portal gun but i don't think it will work here so is there any way to do it?

You can replace the portal gun the same way you did in normal Portal 2. We've basically just replaced the stock Portal 2 portalgun with our own portalgun :)

i made a file called portal2_dlc3 in the portal 2 file inside the portal 2 file and put the vpk file inside the portal2_dlc3 file but what file do i do that in here?

If you have the vpk in the folder, I think you can just launch the game and you're good to go

but what file do i put it in too? and idk if it has a vpk because i cant open the file

If you downloaded a mod off of GameBanana, you should get a program like WinRar or 7Zip. I would recommend WinRar, and if you want to know how to use it you can just search up a tutorial. But, those aforementioned programs will open .zip files and more. When you open up the .zip file, or the .rar file, you can find a .vpk file to put into the portal2_dlc3 folder, other times the .vpk file is in a folder inside the .zip or .rar file. And then you can launch the game! Hope I helped!

You do basically the same as you did with the normal portal 2.

But instead of using
Steam\steamapps\common\Portal 2\portal2_dlc3, you create a folder
Steam\steamapps\common\Portal Stories Mel\portal2_dlc3
and paste the file in there.

i did that but it still doesnt work

I made a mod that ports the Portal 2 portal gun to PS:M, and it didn't work. Weird. You're doing it right if this was Portal 2, it's just PS:M works differently apparently.
