The game where the dead come to life... and promptly wish they hadn't bothered! Step into a world where even the afterlife is a bureaucratic nightmare, and the puzzles are more convoluted than a skeleton trying to tie its own shoelaces. Get ready for a remastered experience that feels as clunky as a zombie in high heels, with controls that make you wish you were the one resting in peace. And let's not forget the charming characters - if by 'charming' you mean 'annoyingly cryptic' and 'frustratingly unhelpful.' Oh, and did we mention the graphics? Well, let's just say they're about as polished as a rusty coffin. So, if you enjoy point-and-click adventures that leave you questioning your life choices, then "Grim Fandango Remastered" is the game for you.

grim fandango is one of the best point & click games you can find in that genre .
but as a remastered game its very disappointing at best. there is no autosave , higher aspect ratio in this game is terrible and there are many bugs from the original that hasn't fixed in the remastered ( also remastered had its own bugs btw )

- Several game-breaking bugs, probably spent 20% of the time re-playing which is really annoying
- Massive respect to Double Fine and Tim Schafer, but I tried playing this game purely for the historical understanding and the mechanics/game design are very poor by modern standards (we could say, of course that's true, but if you play other games, like Doom 1 or Super Mario World, they are still amazing in 2024)
- The story telling is very good, but it's a cherry on top of an unnecessary s**t sandwich - just watch some YouTube videos of the narrative

I played this on Steam Deck and it's a fantastic experience.

Runs smoothly, flipping between original and rework graphics is always appreciated (played with original), but beyond that the game is still hust as witty and exciting as when it came out. This feels like a pixaresque adventure with lots of wonderful characters and performances and puzzles that are generally not too obtuse to work out.

I did have an issue near the end was with controller controls where there was a puzzle that required me to press B which is the option to pick up I think? Interact with A does the same thing in most other situations so I mever knew that was actually an option and was gokng spare trying to work it out. Other than that though the controller input is very intuitive and doesn't feel out of place at all. In fact it feels and controls better than plenty of console titles at that time.

So all in all, great script, characters (Glottis!), presentation, bonuses such as directors commentary make this game not hard to recomend to everybody and anybody.
