(Bug) Black backgrounds in remastered mode
when i put the option remastered version the screen of game turn to black....only the original version works what i do.... and i made a atualization of my grafic card

DEV EDIT -

Ensure that you have the latest graphics drivers. Manual updates works the best as auto-updaters do not always grab the latest version.

Also, ensure that if you have a dedicated graphics card, that it's being used instead of your integrated card.

Orcon has already helpfully pointed this out,

It's probably not running on the NVIDIA card, and instead is using your Intel integrated card. Go to Nvidia Control Panel > 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > Select Program to customize and Add Grim Fandango Remastered. (you may have to browse for the exe in the steam apps folder)

It is currently a known issue that the black screen is occurring for users with AMD cards. A fix for this will be up ASAP

Hi, sorry you are having issues. What are your system specs? Also if it is easier you can email support@doublefine.com with your system specs and we can help figure it out.

My game is doing the same thing. I checked all of the specs and I have above the requirements for the game

Try downloading the latest drivers for your graphics card, it worked for me.

getting your actual specs will help us find and fix the issue. Also yes, ensure that you are on the latest drivers for your GPU

I downloaded the latest divers and then did as you said, choosing "High-performance NVIDIA processor" as my preferred. It worked, thank you!

I can see manny, but I cant see any thing else
I can see manny, but I cant see any thing else, just a surronding black screen for the remastered game... I can see everything just fine for the original game. I updated my graphics, card, I tryed windowing the game, tryed all the options in the menu... I am useing a surface pro one. I would have to hate uninstalling it and installing it again :(

(you may have to browse for the .exe in the steam apps folder). This is generally the first thing you should check when installing a new game and you're having video issues.

Black Backgrounds
According to the minimum specs, the game should be able to work with the Intel 4000 card but only original works. Any solutions?

i have a Intel 4000 and NVidia geforce GT 650M

I am having the hardest time finding the Nvidia control panel... I dont think the surface pro one has a NVIDIA card
SuneaSan Jan 27, 2015 @ 8:19pm

Same here. I wasn't expecting it to be brilliant on my non-gaming laptop, but I was at least expecting it to run.
