I'm with you. I can't believe Tim Schafer would put yet another white male protagonist in a game. Seems pretty racist and misogynist to me.

I know this is a joke and all, but interestingly the character designs are directly inspired by the "calaca" skeleton figures commonly used in the Mexican Day of the Dead festivals. Also, a "calavera" (as in, Manny Calavera) is a type of skull shaped candy also used in the Day of the Dead.

So funnily enough, Manny is Mexican. :P

Yeah, the joke is kinda slaughtered when simply watching the trailer will make you realize that Manny has a very audible Hispanic accent.
